Stack overflow …Weather idiots….

Sadly if your expecting this to contain something about a stack overload in the true sense then that’s not going to be. In this sense from now on under this title from now on will usually be some kind of rant on my behalf. Perhaps media related, or perhaps related to some dumb story or other annoyance technical or other wise. Perhaps like why testing Windows 8 recently my normal mouse gestures kept flicking me from screen to screen, or why the daily express keeps printing absolute nonsense about the forthcoming weather. The forecasters in question Exactaweather.com appear to have surfaced in the last couple of years from no where, and have no contact details (other than email) no company listings (that I can find) & their whois is full of nonsense.  They or it would appear will however happily issue forecasts and take your money if you so choose for the pleasure. You can read even more about it here. Perhaps its all the fault of the press. They love a good headline and I’ve seen first hand how even simple little things get ‘altered’ by people with their own agenda…

Bleh.

Well its October now. Not quite sure what happened to the end of the Summer as there really wasn’t one. In fact this year has been pretty unremarkable at best weather wise.

Onto more general stuff however. Must thing of something to do with this site. It’s bugging me that I can’t find a purpose!

Stunning weather

Well a lovely area of high pressure passed through the UK this past weekend. Bringing with it temps of around 28DegC. Pretty impressive for the end of May, and most welcome after the rest of it. Chances of storms seemed to perhaps be possible but the conditions were never quite there and so instead we were treated to a glorious sunny 3 or so days.

Going back it was around this time in 2007 that I first got some awesome Lighting photos. May typically sees the start of any decent lightning activity in the UK, at least in my experience. Although right now it appears as though by early afternoon we may see some scattered showers in the south. Oh well heres looking towards the weekend!

First local storm of 2010

The last week has been a mix of low pressure systems pushed up from the Atlantic Ocean. With it the weather has been much more mild. However very mixed with some heavy rain and today the first local thunderstorm I’ve noticed in Warlingham in 2010. Hopefully more stable weather will follow soon, however gut instinct is telling me that it wont arrive for a while yet.

Snow

Yep more snow. My predictions on Monday were that yes we would see snow, but no nothing significant around SE England to cause us any problems, and seems to have been the case.
